You will contribute to software design, development, testing, debugging, and documentation while working with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams.

What You Will Do

  • Develop, modify, test, and debug embedded software in C/C++ based on defined requirements.
  • Contribute to software design, unit testing, integration, and verification activities.
  • Analyze and resolve routine software problems using established engineering practices.
  • Participate in requirement, design, code, and test reviews.
  • Identify technical issues and risks and communicate them clearly to the team.
  • Create and maintain software engineering documentation and traceability.
  • Collaborate with software, systems, hardware, and validation teams.
  • Follow established software development, coding, configuration-management, and quality processes.
  • Support investigation and resolution of software defects within the assigned scope.
  • Continuously build knowledge of embedded systems, product architecture, and railway applications.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electronics/Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of software development experience, in embedded systems.
  • Good programming fundamentals in C and/or C++.
  • Understanding of embedded software concepts, including memory, interrupts, multitasking/concurrency, and hardware/software interfaces.
  • Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix or an RTOS.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle, debugging, version control, and unit testing.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and learn from experienced engineers and subject-matter experts.

Good to Have

  • Exposure to QNX, FreeRTOS, or another RTOS.
  • Knowledge of communication interfaces/protocols such as Ethernet/TCP-IP, CAN, UART, SPI, or I²C.
  • Exposure to device drivers or BSP development.
  • Python/Bash or other scripting experience.
  • Familiarity with CI, automated testing, Agile/Scrum, or requirements traceability.
  • Awareness of embedded cybersecurity concepts.
  • Exposure to railway, automotive, industrial, aerospace, or another safety-critical domain.

You will progressively demonstrate the ability to

  • Deliver assigned software tasks with appropriate guidance.
  • Apply established engineering practices to solve routine technical problems.
  • Identify and communicate technical issues and risks.
  • Learn the product, technology, and railway domain quickly.
  • Collaborate effectively across engineering disciplines.
  • Take feedback, continuously improve, and gradually handle more complex assignments.
